The Best Of The Best ✨

Zofie Lloyd-Kucia

My dear,

I’ve shared through my daily love notes that I recognised recently my stress levels were higher than I’d like. (And more elevated than they needed to be.) So, as I’ve also spoken to, I’ve been focusing on allowing myself to step back into calmer climes.

Naturally I know a LOT about this, but like I say a heaps- knowledge is useless without action, minus implementation. There are plenty of therapists who’ve studied the courses, and read the books, but not done the true inner work, have no self-awareness, and therefore don’t in any way shape or form come even close to exemplifying the kind of life they claim to help others live…. Point being- I’m of the opinion that one should only say ‘i KNOW this’ if they’re embodying it. Walking the walk is where it’s at…

Anyhow, I digress!

All that to say, I created this months meditation to address this, for me, for you, for anyone in need of this. There were a few things on my mind as I wrote the meditation. One was the idea of stepping into EXPECTING things to go well, to work out, and so on! I’ve also said in my love notes that as and when we’re stressed it becomes the norm to live from the ‘waiting for the other shoe to drop’ pov, and a perspective of seeing danger all around. And the more we buy into this, the more stressed we become, you’re in vicious cycle territory here!

So, to step away from the stress you step away from this expectation and instead lean into expecting things to work out for you vibes- the meditation will help here!

I also focused on creating a feeling of safety- way down the bottom of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs for a reason! It’s something that came up a lot in Alchemise and I’ll focus here to begin in Kept Woman too…..this is a foundational piece. I keep imagining a house with no/weak foundations as a metaphor for this. So, if you’re trying to build an awesome life minus this feeling it’s not going to go well for you!

As we think frightening thoughts we start to imagine and believe (and see evidence that), the world is scary and therefore it’s right to be afraid! Another vicious cycle! Letting your subconscious and your body know you are safe is a biggie!

I also wanted to touch on the idea of expecting and receiving the BEST OF THE BEST (hence the title!) So, flipping any idea of imagining things will mess up, go wrong etc on its head entirely and instead starting to develop a belief system along the lines of:

✨ Things are always working out for me and I was born for the best of the best.

Anyhow, as I wrote and spoke the words in this meditation I was mindful of speaking to my frightened self, and anyone’s frightened self, and you can so feel the love in the finished piece!

I wanted to speak reassurance, and love, and kindness not only to myself but to you, and I truly hope this lands for you. Stepping away from expecting the worst is scary at first because the mind will tell you you’re acting crazy, you SHOULD be afraid. This is a LIE, but it feels real when you’ve been listening to fear for a minute. But as you keep it up you’ll notice your sense of being safe, and held, and grounded return.

One of the key things I’ve been doing to get myself calmer is telling my mind ‘whatever happens I’ll deal with it‘, anytime a crazy worry creeps, in and this works so well for anxious thoughts!

Byeee from me for now and sending so much love,

Zofie 🩷
