Think Less, Feel Better
Zofie Lloyd-Kucia
So, this month we’re focused on over-thinking! And helping you to QUIT! The thing is, just as it’s more challenging for most of us to control a car at speed (Lewis Hamilton you’re excepted)….it’s similarly more of a challenge to remain in control of your mind as it speeds up….
And the bottom line is, you’re either in the driving seat when it comes to your mind, and your thinking, OR it’s the other way around.
Over-Thinking shows up in a bunch of ways, some of the main ones being:
Mind reading- worrying about what other people are thinking, what they think about you and so on.
Future tripping- spending too much time planning, micro managing a future that of course hasn't happened yet, trying to account for every tiny eventuality…
Being overly critical- sure, when you’re in this mode, you may well ‘have a point’ or be ‘just saying’. But, this perspective isn’t wise, conducive to fostering loving relationships, or allowing you to live a joyful life.
I’ve been talking about this A LOT recently in this membership so you may well have heard me talk about one of my favourite quotes from A Course In Miracles that speaks beautifully to this:
‘You are much too tolerant of mind wandering.’
I ADORE this. So simple, and to the point, and powerful!
What I’d love for you to focus on this month is using the meditation daily, and resolving to do the work of bringing your mind back as and when you realise it has wandered. This, my friend is one of the most transformative things you can do. You are a psychical being, sure, flesh, blood and bones and all that. But, you are also so much more. There’s more to you than meets the eye, and more to this life than we can experience with our physical senses alone….And when you keep your mind clear you start to become a clear channel for the wisdom that stems from beneath the physical, the magic that underpins all.
And once you do this consistently, your life starts to take on a whole new quality and depth… my words can’t teach you, only your own experience. But what I can honestly say is I’ve committed to this work and my life is very joyful. It isn’t perfect and I’m not happy all the time, BUT very commonly I feel nothing but love, for myself, for all other humans, for life itself….and I experience such deep comfort and bliss…not because all the conditions of my life call me to this, but because I allow myself to feel my inner unshakeable peace.
OK, I’m babbling now! But my prayer is that you too can find your way back to this. It’s also my knowing that you can. And it’s my desire to help you.
With so much love,
Zofie x
